Dinner – Friday night!
Hello, again!
| Piccadilly Circus |
Okay, dinner at the British Museum…first of all, we’ve never
been in the BM at night – and they really don’t turn on many lights, so it was
nice and dimly lit. We got there a bit
early, so took a quick look at the Rosetta Stone, then headed for dinner.
Well…they had a set menu, with three choices for starter and
three for mains. Robert took the beef
carpaccio and I took the root vegetable soup for starters; R had the Sea Bream
and I had the chicken with chick peas in casserole for mains. We both loved our own choices, which is
always a good sign! Then for dessert, I
took the apple tarte with ice cream, and Robert picked a moscato to drink. The tarte was incredible; one of the best I’ve
ever tasted, with a wonderful caramelized sauce…hmmm…may dream of that
tonight!
Nice and full, we headed back to the 19 bus stop and back to
Chelsea! In for the night now, and as R
says, at least he knows he won’t be going to sleep at 9, seeing as it is
already 9:28 p.m.!
More tomorrow!
