Getting Ready to Go!

Hello!

The Brucato's are getting ready to head out once again, on a trip to Europe!

After seeing so many wonderful things in Turkey last year, we realized that a great many of the smaller, more portable finds are actually in a variety of museums around the world.  So, with Mesopotamia in mind, we are hitting up many of the museums who participated in Turkish excavations over the years.  So...

We are starting with several weeks in England.  We are renting a flat in Chelsea and will be visiting (yes, again!) the British Museum.  From there we head out to the Cotswolds for a week in our very favorite village, Bibury.  We will use Bibury as a base to spend more time at Bletchley, the site of World War II's coding and decoding work (and the Enigma machine).

From there we fly to Berlin and start the big museum circle: Berlin to Prague to Vienna to Bolzano to Munich to Paris -- and then back to the U.K. and home from there.  Because it is "winter" in Europe, we have decided to do more training than driving; we'll see how it works out.  We are very much looking forward to going through the Chunnel between Paris and London. Whew!

If you would like to join us on our travels, you can do so very easily by putting in your email address on the right hand side of the blog.  In this way, you will automatically see each new posting as it comes out.

Take care and hope to have you along!

Much love,
m
